In 2008, Danny van Kooten started doing freelance work developing WordPress themes. Some of the functionality requested by clients he later released as plugins on WordPress.org. Some of these plugins, like MailChimp for WordPress got immensely popular.

By the time he finished his bachelors degree he was making a living selling premium WordPress products. With 12notions he continues this road and strives to create even better products.
