    Yannick Decat is a Playground Wrangler at Automattic. He began his career in graphic design before switching to code 11 years ago, first building mobile apps and later shaping web experiences. He’s driven by a single goal: crafting experiences that work exactly as they should. Most of the time.

    WordPress Origin Story

    Yannick first encountered WordPress as a project manager in a digital marketing startup in Brussels. Years passed before he stumbled upon WordPress Playground, dove into its internal tools, and started suggesting improvements and contributing code. That curiosity eventually led him to join the team.
