Bio

I’m Yani Iliev, founder, CEO of ServMask Inc. and the creator of All-in-One WP Migration, trusted by more than 60 million WordPress sites. I have spent over fifteen years building at the intersection of data portability, cloud infrastructure, and developer tools. I care most about keeping the web portable and giving people real ownership of what they build.

WordPress Origin Story

Like a lot of people, I came to WordPress through a problem I could not get rid of. As a developer moving sites between local, staging, and production, I kept hitting the same wall: WordPress migrations were fragile, manual, and far more painful than they had any right to be. Export a database here, rewrite URLs there, and hope nothing broke. In 2013 I decided to fix it for myself and wrote the first version of All-in-One WP Migration, a plugin that could pick up an entire site and move it somewhere else in a single click.
I put it on the WordPress.org repository expecting it to help a handful of developers like me. Instead it kept growing, one install at a time, until it was running on tens of millions of sites. That response is what turned a side project into ServMask and into my work for more than a decade. WordPress gave me a distribution channel, a community, and a problem worth solving. These days I try to give back to the project that gave me my start, including contributing to the redesign of the Five for the Future program.
