WordPress Origin Story

The town where I grew up had almost no websites for local businesses, and online services weren’t widely used. As the internet slowly took hold during my teenage years, I became fascinated by its potential. At 14, I began offering website design and development services after teaching myself how to build, host, and manage sites directly.

Around age 15, I discovered WordPress—around 2004, shortly after its launch—and everything changed again. It was immediately clear that this was the future of publishing and the web. From that moment on, WordPress became a foundational part of how I built, designed, and thought about digital products.
