WordPress Origin Story

Since 2014 I use WordPress to manage the Website of my Hockey-Club. First I used Artisteer to build the Website and used many plugins. I tried different CMS, but I think WordPress is easy to use and the completest.
This of course, because of the many developers, who are maintaining the system. Now the Website starts slowly and also I have many new Ideas.
Because I want to know more about WordPress, HTML, PHP ans mysql I am interested in more informations. Now I try to develop an other website and have control about all the design and functions. So am still a beginner,
