How did I got involved with WordPress? Well, it’s an interesting story to share. I was originally planning to get into Import/ Export business for Engineering Products. Got my licenses through as well. All I needed to move ahead was a Website.

I got in touch with a few friends from IT industry and requested them to develop a website for me. After waiting for about 2 and half months when I never got my website ready, my frustration led me to learning HTML and CSS.

After getting a basic understanding of HTML and CSS I started to create my own website, but as expected got stuck half way down. While looking for solutions, I came across the term ‘WordPress on many occasions on various forums/ blogs.

That switched my attention and my curiosity to know about WordPress increased. I started learning more and more about it till I decided to try my hands on WordPress. It was such a wonderful experience. I began spending more time to learn advanced options related to plugins and customizations.

However, at the same time my Import/ Export business was left behind. The market situation too didn’t show any scope for starters like me who had no financial support at all.

What next? I thought of giving up the idea of making my website as I though it wasn’t of any use now. I thought even if I built a good website and got inquiries, I didn’t have financial support for executing the orders.

After a week of disappointment and a situation of don’t-know-what-to-do I thought why not get into Web Designing Business. After all it was something that didn’t even require any huge finances and things would be totally in my control (no more dependencies on suppliers for getting quotations/ deliveries).

Well… that was it! I started getting in touch with a few known people and checked if anyone was interested in a website as I was even willing to do it for free (just to gain confidence). Finally a friend agreed and I developed a small website for him.

That gave me enough boost and I started Web Designing Work on full time basis. Throughout my journey, I’ve been learning more and more about WordPress and the learning phase still continues 🙂

I’d like to thank WordPress for making a career for me when I was stuck in the middle of nowhere. I’m sure this story would be quite familiar to many other WordPress users who would’ve been through similar situations in the past.
