Hi, I’m Wajiha, a passionate Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in WordPress development. I enjoy building custom, efficient, and scalable solutions, from custom themes and plugins to complex Gutenberg blocks and WooCommerce integrations.
I have hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies like React.js, Next.js, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Tailwind CSS, and Bootstrap, as well as backend development with Node.js, Express.js, PHP, Laravel, and REST APIs. I’m also skilled in database management using MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
Beyond coding, I focus on performance optimization, SEO, and smooth user experiences, using tools like FlyingPress, LiteSpeed Cache, Rank Math, and Yoast. I also enjoy working with APIs, testing, debugging, and streamlining development workflows with Docker, GitHub, GitLab, VS Code, Jira, and Postman.
I’m always excited to explore new technologies and create impactful, high-quality WordPress solutions for businesses and communities.
My journey with WordPress began out of curiosity — I wanted to understand how websites worked behind the scenes. What started as simple theme customization soon turned into a passion for building complete, dynamic websites.
Over time, I began exploring WordPress in depth — learning how themes, plugins, and the REST API connect to create flexible and scalable systems. I was especially drawn to the open-source nature of WordPress and how it empowers developers to contribute and innovate together.
Today, I work as a Software Engineer at Riseup Labs, where I develop and maintain advanced WordPress solutions. From creating Plugins, custom Elementor widgets and Unyson-based frameworks to optimizing site performance with FlyingPress, my goal is to craft efficient, user-friendly, and purposeful WordPress experiences.
WordPress has become more than just a tool for me — it’s a community, a learning platform, and a way to bring creative ideas to life through clean, functional code.
