Initially, my friends recommended that I use WordPress to build a website. They had been blogging since 2009 and assured me that I didn’t need any programming skills to create a site on WordPress. So, I registered a domain and hosting, and installed WordPress. However, I wasn’t sure what to write, and eventually, the domain and hosting expired.

Later, I noticed that people were still using WordPress to build websites. I searched on Google and found a “Local WordPress Meetup in Mumbai” near my location. I attended the “Introduction to WordPress Workshop and Meetup” on May 30, 2015, at 3:30 PM. After that, I became a regular attendee at local WordPress meetups in Mumbai and eventually got involved as a WordCamp attendee and organizer.

Through the WPMumbai community, I learned many valuable skills and gained knowledge. Despite working my regular 9-5 job (well, technically 2 PM to 11 PM), I still found time to attend meetups. Along the way, I made new friends who now feel like family, and I even enjoyed the after-parties following WordCamps.

I also earned some money by building WordPress sites and have attended twenty plus WordCamps so far, with plans to continue.
