WordPress Origin Story

In late 2013 I was training for a side career in real estate, and had just acquired my Texas Real Estate license. I wanted a professional looking website to get my name out there…..most of the real estate “templates” or services that let you spin up your own site from limited designs were just awful. I did some research and found StudioPress themes which I LOVED — clean look, lots of white space and professional. I checked their recommended developer list and got in touch with a local, Ms. Carrie Dils, a great ambassador for WordPress and it’s products. As a former developer, I was hooked and proceeded to switch my career focus to WordPress themes and plugins from 2014 on.
