    Bio

    Designer, builder, marketer, and creator. Currently at Rocketgenius, where I work on Gravity Forms and produce the Crew Collective podcast. Co-founder of SwellApps (swellapps.ai), building Shopify apps and WordPress plugins, and Swell Scenes (swellscenes.com), a wall art and home decor shop I run with longtime collaborator David Morgan. We met over 15 years ago on Oahu and have been creating together ever since. Previously worked with David at Organic Themes and have been building with WordPress since 2006.

    WordPress Origin Story

    Started tinkering with WordPress 2.0 around 2006 while working at a small agency. That work eventually brought me to Hawaii, where I landed at a design agency and met David Morgan on Oahu. David and I collaborated at Organic Themes, then I built and sold premium themes at Press75. Moved back to Minneapolis and started my own agency, Westwerk (and later WerkPress), before joining Modern Tribe. Now I’m at Rocketgenius working on Gravity Forms and telling stories through the Crew Collective podcast.
