WordPress Origin Story

I’ve been building simple, amateur websites with WordPress since version 1.5.x. My academic background in computer science seamlessly transitioned my hobby into a professional career. Starting with WordPress 2.6, I began developing complex and professional websites. I’ve explored and tested countless plugins, themes, and frameworks, developed custom plugins, and crafted numerous code snippets, investing hundreds of hours of dedicated work and writing thousands of lines of code. I got pissed off and punched my poor, dirty keyboard a ton of times, spent whole nights in front of the monitor with loads of coffee, but then when that damn post loop stopped getting stuck endlessly… I was overjoyed and exhausted! I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered WordPress over twenty years ago. Oh, and I almost forgot: CODE is POETRY!
