I am a professor of microbiology, and I create plugins to support my work there.

Interests

I love my job, and just by osmosis, I learn a ton about microbiology, science, and science education. I also enjoy programming. I am fluent in PHP, Python, C, C++, and JavaScript. I recently began developing plugins for WordPress.

WordPress Origin Story

My past CMS, Zikula, has stopped development, and I was looking for a replacement. It had to replicate all the functionality I was used to, and WordPress could cover almost all of it. I have developed plugins to cover the two areas that I thought were missing: the ability to display blocks of HTML that used CreateJS animations and a table of contents.
