My path into WordPress was not exactly planned. I originally worked in the airline industry at a time when many computer systems were still pre-Windows based. It was a fascinating environment and gave me an early appreciation for how technology quietly powers complex systems behind the scenes.

When the airline closed, I suddenly found myself at a crossroads. I spent some time moving between different roles but never quite felt the same sense of interest or creativity in my work.

My husband, who is a systems engineer, suggested I take a look at WordPress.org and see what I thought. That small suggestion turned out to change everything.

What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession. I was fascinated by how flexible WordPress was and how it allowed people to build and publish their own ideas online. I spent countless hours experimenting, learning and building websites.

Before long, it became clear that this was more than a hobby. WordPress opened the door to a new career built around creativity, problem solving and helping businesses establish a strong online presence.

Today I run Web Honey Digital, where I design and develop WordPress websites for small businesses across Australia. My work focuses on clean design, fast performance and strong SEO foundations so websites not only look good but also perform well in search engines.
