Maryann has worked in web development for over 20 years, mostly in the higher education arena. She uses WordPress at her day job as well as to help local businesses and organizations maintain and grow their web presence. She loves to find new ways to use her skills to help others and her goal is to create a diverse and welcoming community around her.

WordPress Origin Story

I installed my first WP site sometime in 2004 – I was tinkering around with it trying to figure out how to use it as a CMS – even back then! Since then, I’ve found a way to use WP in every job I’ve had. (professional and side projects!). My favorite project is gvrc.org.
