WordPress Origin Story

Around 2006 I was a huge fan of some rock bands and decided to build fansites for them. It didn’t take long to discover that WordPress was the perfect solution to easily build a blog without that much experience.

When I started writing about my favorite bands, I discovered that it would be a lot more fun if I started an “online magazine”. DutchScene was born in 2008 and became one of the biggest music blogs in The Netherlands.

In 2015 I decided that it was time to start helping other people by making their websites in WordPress and nowadays I run a WordPress development agency.
