WordPress Origin Story

As I am an Anime fan, I wanted to build a site where I would write some reviews and share some download links. From googling around I found that WordPress would be an easy way to do this. At that time I already knew HTML, css and PHP. So I went ahead and tried wordpress.com free account. I noticed there were many restrictions for which I started more research and found that I can actually host sites outside and install wp in any hosting. This was probably back in 2010 or 2011. Then I started my very first self hosted wp site which was under the domain – animeworldbd.com 🙂
