    Bio

    Hello, I’m Torsten and a WordPress developer from Brandenburg an der Havel, but I work in Potsdam. I’m the tech lead on the WordPress team, and my team and I develop WordPress themes and plugins.

    WordPress Origin Story

    During my studies, I worked as a developer at a company in Berlin. Back then, it was mainly Drupal. I think the first small WordPress projects came in there in 2013/2014. I had to get to grips with those at first, but they were mostly theme tweaks.

    In 2016, I left the company and moved to another employer. Since they had a strong focus on WordPress, I was quickly trained and have been working with WordPress ever since. In 2023, I became Tech Lead in the WordPress team.
