    Hi, I’m Shaoun Chandra Shill — a Software Engineer with experience in WordPress plugin development, software quality assurance, and machine learning research.

    My journey in software development started with web technologies and gradually evolved into building custom WordPress plugins, scalable web applications, and testing software to deliver reliable, high-quality products. I enjoy writing clean, maintainable code and solving real-world problems through practical engineering solutions.

    Currently, I work as a Software QA Automation Engineer, where I focus on software testing, quality assurance, and improving product reliability. Previously, I worked as a WordPress Plugin Developer, developing custom plugins, integrating APIs, optimizing website performance, and creating reusable solutions for international clients.

    Alongside my professional work, I’m pursuing a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, where my research focuses on browser-based machine learning and the performance evaluation of client-side AI models.

    I’m passionate about continuously learning new technologies, improving software quality, and building solutions that are secure, scalable, and user-focused.     WordPress Origin Story

    I got involved with WordPress through practical problem-solving rather than by chance. While learning web development, I wanted a platform that allowed me to build real websites quickly without sacrificing flexibility or performance. WordPress stood out because it combined ease of use with the ability to customize deeply through code.

    What started with small tasks—theme customization, layout adjustments, and content management—gradually turned into hands-on development. I began working with custom themes, plugins, and performance optimization, which helped me understand how WordPress works under the hood. Over time, I realized that WordPress is not just a blogging tool, but a powerful content management system capable of supporting scalable and production-level websites.

    As I continued building projects, WordPress became my preferred platform because it allows me to deliver solutions efficiently while maintaining clean, maintainable code. Today, I work with WordPress not only as a tool, but as a development ecosystem where creativity, performance, and usability come together.
