WordPress Origin Story

From Sports to WordPress: My Journey

Back in 11th grade, my life was all about sports—matches, practice, and the excitement of the game. Technology? That felt like a whole different world, far from anything I was interested in. But then, my teacher gave me a project that changed everything: I had to create a website.

With no idea where to start, I stumbled upon Webnode. It wasn’t easy, but I slowly figured things out, spending a year learning how to build websites. It felt like solving a puzzle, piece by piece.

One day, my friend Mayank casually said, “Why not try WordPress?” I didn’t think much of it at first, but signing up turned out to be a life-changing decision.

WordPress felt like stepping into a whole new world. Unlike Webnode, it wasn’t just about dragging and dropping; it gave me the freedom to create anything I imagined. At first, I was confused and made a lot of mistakes, but each small success motivated me to keep going.

Over time, WordPress taught me much more than web development. It showed me how to be creative, solve problems, and keep learning. I went from someone who barely knew anything about technology to someone passionate about building websites and exploring new tools.

Looking back, I’m so thankful for that school project and for discovering WordPress. It didn’t just change how I saw technology—it changed how I saw myself.
