Neesaun Zarbakhat: Architect and Visionary

My passion lies at the intersection of innovative design, cultural heritage, and sustainability. With a deep understanding of both Western and Eastern architectural traditions, I strive to create spaces that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also resonate with the unique context and needs of their surroundings.

Specializations:

Breathing Architecture: My signature approach involves designing buildings that interact with their environment, optimizing natural light, ventilation, and energy efficiency. This philosophy is inspired by the traditional architecture of Pakistan, which often incorporates elements like courtyards, wind towers, and natural materials to create comfortable and sustainable living spaces.

Building Information Modeling (BIM): I am a strong advocate for the use of BIM technology in architecture. BIM allows me to create detailed 3D models of buildings, simulate their performance, and identify potential issues before construction begins. This not only improves the efficiency and accuracy of the design process but also ensures that the final product is more sustainable and cost-effective.

Tensile Membrane Structures: I have a particular interest in the design and engineering of tensile membrane structures. These lightweight, flexible structures offer a unique combination of aesthetic appeal, functionality, and sustainability. They can be used to create a wide range of architectural forms, from iconic stadiums and airports to elegant shading systems and canopies.

Experience in Pakistan:

I have extensive experience working on architectural projects in Pakistan, both in the public and private sectors. My work has ranged from designing residential and commercial buildings to planning urban developments and infrastructure projects. I am committed to contributing to the sustainable development of Pakistan’s built environment by promoting innovative design practices and using local materials and craftsmanship.

My Vision:

I envision a future where architecture not only meets the practical needs of people but also enhances their well-being and connection to the natural world. My goal is to create buildings that are not just structures but living, breathing organisms that contribute to a more sustainable and harmonious future.
