    Bio

    David Herron is a software engineer and writer/blogger living in Silicon Valley. He has worked for several Silicon Valley software companies including Sun Microsystems (where he worked in the Java SE team) and Yahoo (where he worked with Node.js). He has been developed websites since 1995ish, using static HTML using vi, with Drupal, WordPress and Blogger, and with his own static website generator, AkashaCMS.

    WordPress Origin Story

    As a Drupaler (started with Drupal 4.6), David looked down upon WordPress. However, one day it seemed that WordPress was probably the best platform with which to switch his Blogger blog to a better CMS. After kicking the tires and getting excited with how WP 4.x worked, he has jumped into WordPress with both feet.
