    I’m Akhil Soman, a PHP developer and full stack freelancer specializing in PHP, MySQL, React, and Node.js, with MERN as my primary stack. I have strong experience building web applications and WordPress plugins.

    Interests

    Outside of work, I enjoy WordPress plugin development, exploring web development ideas, reading, watching movies, and playing video games.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I started working with WordPress in 2020, which was when I first got introduced to it. In the beginning, I mainly used drag-and-drop builders like Elementor and Beaver Builder to create websites.

    As I worked more with WordPress, I became curious about how plugins and themes function behind the scenes. That curiosity led me to explore WordPress development more deeply—learning about hooks, templates, custom functionality, and core architecture.

    Since I originally started coding with PHP, working with WordPress felt natural and comfortable to me. Over time, I grew confident in the ecosystem and developed a strong foundation in WordPress alongside my broader full-stack development skills.
