    WordPress Origin Story

    My connection with WordPress stems from my natural strength and interest in writing. As a blogging platform, I initially used WordPress to blog and share my everyday thoughts. Over time, I began to explore the other numerous capabilities WordPress had to offer, realized it is more than just software, and soon became aware of its cause—democratize publishing. Since then I became involved with the Japanese Polyglots team, contributing in the WordPress Support Forums, participating in local WordCamps here in Japan, and most recently helping out with WPTV (video-editing actually being one of my side hobbies).

    WordPress is a beautiful thing in that it serves as a free and open platform to have a voice, one which some may not have otherwise had. And that’s a cause I’ll certainly stand by.
