    Bio

    I’m a creative front-end web developer, also doing some full-stack work using nodeJS, PHP, Shopware, and Symfony and use static site generators or front-end frameworks. I also develop WordPress sites, themes, and plugins, preferably using classic or hybrid themes. I can optimize existing websites to improve page speed, accessibility, responsive display, and ecological sustainability (estimated front-end carbon footprint). You can hire me as a freelancer for your team or as an individual service provider.

    WordPress Origin Story

    About 2003? 2005? in those times before Web 2.0, before YouTube and flickR and all, someone told me about that useful blogging script in PHP and mySQL, called WordPress. I used to make hundreds of WordPress pages back then, lost interest when I focused on e-commerce, responsive and mobile webdesign, and page speed / web performance optimization. I have published a free open-source WordPress plugin and I am working on another one. I have rediscovered WordPress because so many customers still use it for blogging or small business, and there is a very friendly, helpful, and supportive local WordPress community in Germany.
