Bio

I am a tech and digital media enthusiast with over 10 years experience creating strategies and implementing campaigns for tech, nonprofit, government, multinationals and corporate organizations including Paradigm Initiative, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Web Foundation, European Union etc. I have also trained more than 400 people on tech, digital media, brand communication, ICT Policy etc.

I also love to tell stories of tech, women, travels and cover WordPress events across Africa on my YouTube channel. WordPress Origin Story

My first encounter with WordPress was in 2009 when I was looking to commission a website project for my organization. My friend Victor introduced WordPress to me as a more straightforward DIY website builder than Joomla and Drupal. I fell in love instantly with the platform and never looked back.

Also, in 2011, as a young creative, I wanted to make my voice heard and express myself in writing. This led me to create my WordPress-hosted blog, phronesisblog.wordpress.com, which later moved to lammyng.com and is now on my personal website, olamideyelo.com.

Since then, I have been involved with numerous WordPress website projects and have managed websites for several clients.

I have been an active member of the Lagos WordPress community in Nigeria over the last five years. I have covered community events and WordCamps across Africa and have helped showcase young talents who are thriving using technology, most especially WordPress, on her YouTube Platform (Yelo Digital Hub): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve2nF1Ne_zI&list=PLEculvnoRVOt5dbiNldLIM8CpeHWQ5_B1.
