WordPress Origin Story

I wanted a personal blog, a self-hosted one. I started out republishing tech notes, thinking (naively) that I would be the next Ars Technica or Engadget. That didn’t happen (haha), but I got considerable knowledge of WordPress during that time. Now it’s my personal site where I write about whatever I want even if Google doesn’t like me. I’m about to start a new blog (offering services also) in hazloconwp.com.mx, spanish for “Do it with WP”. At work I’m responsible for convincing the boss some years ago to switch to WordPress for general bussiness sites instead of creating them out of nothing, and that also was a great deal of experience for me and anothers. So far so good, we are still working with WP and even are thinking in expanding our bussiness in the near future.
