Bio

I’m a Software Engineer passionate about technology and software development in general. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the magic of the web and the endless possibilities it offers for connecting, sharing, and learning from people all around the globe. I believe strongly in Open Source and it’s capacity to empower developers and end users to constantly improve products through collaboration and transparency, it’s such a powerful thing!

I’m a father of two children, love going to road trips and Mountain Bike.

WordPress Origin Story

I started with WordPress around 2007, when I started developing websites for e-commerce and corporate websites, but using Joomla.

One day I met a colleague who was also doing the same thing as me, but I saw that their websites were more fluid, more beautiful, and the Administration Panel looked much more intuitive, that’s when I saw WordPress for the first time, a simple CMS but at the same time very powerful.

My colleague also taught me how easy it was to modify themes, develop plugins, and modify everything I wanted, from that day I fell madly in love with WordPress.
