Bio

I like WordPress (both the software and the community) and do what I can to help out with both. Lately that’s through sporadic contributions to the project (mostly Core and Docs).

Interests

family, friends, coffee, home school, writing plugins, code reviews, writing docs, talking about WordPress, list-making

WordPress Origin Story

I first started using WordPress in 2009 (2.7.1) when I was managing a 6000-page site in Dreamweaver and deploying with FTP. I knew there had to be a better way to manage content and, after some investigation, decided WordPress was it. After advocating for it at work, I decided to start contributing back to the project through code, talks, and advocating for WP every chance I get.
