Hendrik Luehrsen is one of the founders and the current CEO of the Munich, Germany based agency Luehrsen // Heinrich. He is married with two children and has a dalmatian called “Emma” who serves as the office dog in the Agency.

Hendrik’s interests include gaming, storytelling, and science fiction. He enjoys playing video games and telling stories, and loves learning about new scientific discoveries and technologies. Hendrik is also interested in the potential of WordPress to help businesses grow and succeed online.

WordPress Origin Story

Hendrik started using WordPress for private projects in the late 2000s, after using the blogging platform Serendipity. He started using WordPress professionally for the Games Magazine “Krautgaming” after having a bad experience with a self-written CMS in a startup.

After founding his agency, he realized that many companies would benefit from a WordPress-powered website. As a result, he started creating and selling WordPress websites as a product.
