Justice and equity. I am a Digital Junkie consuming all kinds of new tech if it makes humankind better. I love neat UI designs and sharing knowledge. I develop with WordPress as a CMS and API provider for external apps.

WordPress Origin Story

I am a business major with no prior knowledge of databases and advanced PHP.

However, my passion has always been IT. I learnt how to developing websites in 2007 using CSS and HTML. Until a friend in 2011 needed to have their website converted to WordPress since it was easier for them to update and I had never given this thought. At least, not until, I landed on @chriscoyier tutorial on how to change an HTML website to WordPress. Most services were changing thousands of dollars and yet Chris was doing this at a low cost course.

My whole mind blew up with the thought of making database driven website. I have since only developed in WP to allow many to avoid costs of hiring a dev to make simple updates.

This has allowed me to grow as I studied the WordPress core files and learnt from others in the community, Stack Overflow and the WP developers on Twitter. The community has been amazing in my growth, that’s why I am helping the guys in Kampala to grow a vibrant one stone at a time.
