I bought my first computer, a Windows 98 Dell desktop in 1998, a desktop, for my new chiropractic office in the Philly suburbs near my childhood home of Valley Forge, PA. The only office space I could afford was this tiny space at the rear of a strip mall behind a stairwell on a lower level.

Naturally, I didn’t get any business and near starved for six months before closing down and going bankrupt. One good thing that came of it was I started building websites and learning about the early days of internet marketing while trapped in this lonely little office.

I used this ingenious software, whose name escapes me now, available at the time for building websites in pure HTML and then uploading the whole mess to a server to create a basic website. I learned that software pretty darned well, to the point where I was building little websites for friends on a regular basis.

Then I discovered WordPress and I was off to the races.
