Penang-kia, (kia means child in the Penang Hokkien language) who is tolerant, kind and courteous with inner strength; who can appear to be naïve and too impulsive at times. A compassionate soul who simply want to keep the peace. Headstrong and diligent in the workplace, honest and caring in a relationship and trustworthy with everyone I meet unless given reason not to be.

WordPress Origin Story

I started in 2006 after the .NAME domain was made available for personal use. Once I have registered my personal .NAME domain, I began my own online diary of sorts by learning to code in HTML and PHP. As the technology for blogging matures, my journey with WordPress began in June 2010. I have blogged my experience as a blog entry too. By the end of June 2010, I have successfully migrated my blogging experience onto the WordPress platform [Trivia: WordPress 3.0 was the version after my web-hosting provider offered to be a host to the growing popularity of WP]. As WP platform gain momentum, with more and more users on-boarded, my journey and experience has been rocky. My web-host provider struggled to keep up with the pace. As for myself, what a journey it has been, as I too struggled to maintain my love-hate relationship with my web-host provider over WP.
