WordPress is butter. It’s also gold. So it’s butter and gold.

Old. I do PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, yadda-yadda. Been at it for a decade and a half and still love it. For fun I host Social Media Edge Radio since August 2008. You can listen and join in at http://socialmediaedge.com because we’d love to have you.

WordPress Origin Story

Oh my. Well, I developed a “blog engine” in perl and JavaScript back in 1997 exclusively for an international religious organization. It was more of a membership exchange but allowed profiles, internal “email”, posting with replies. It was modeled after AOL/Prodigy as they were in the late 80s and early 90s. Later some other options emerged, most notably for me was Geeklog, and eventually I got into B2cafelog – I followed with B2Evolution at first then added WP to what I was following, recommending, and using. I have no idea how many WP sites I have set up, modified, hacked, and completely destroyed for clients and self.
