Bio

My name is Stephen Ng’ang’a though, I mostly go by Steve. I am a Customer Success Advocate currently working with Glue Up as a Customer Success Specialist in EMEA. As such, my time during the day is spent helping our customers make the most of our platform. This involves holding training sessions, testing new features, offering feedback to the dev team, writing helpdesk articles and of course, lots of emails and support tickets. By night, I spend most of my time keeping abreast with the latest in Web Development (mostly WordPress and NextJS) and other technologies. The last few months have been especially superb with all the tech launches. My favorite of them all was the ‘One More Thing’ by Apple last month. The M1 chip has me all manner of excited and I cannot wait to get my hands on one of those. Soon… fingers crossed.

I have always believed in technology. I believe that it can be used to drive change and improve greatly on service delivery. However, more often than not we have great technology but know very little of how to maximise it’s usefulness. To bridge this divide, we need to have more sentinels that translate – where needed – how to make the best use of our technologies. My passions are in proper system logic and design with the aim of translating the same into better user experience. Oh, and I also dabble with design at times… you know, the occasional Photoshop, Illustrator or even Affinity Designer. P.S. Those guys at Serif are on a roll. You should give them a try.

WordPress Origin Story

Personal blog for technology in 2014. Needless to mention it failed miserable given I did not have the content, the time or the cash flow to pay for the hosting. I have since then been tinkering with WordPress and creating all manner of projects from simple blogs to serious applications.
