The start of it was quite simply that I joined a study in social media management and had to create a WordPress site as part of the exam. At the time I was mostly focused on leadership and processes and made The No Crisis Blog (https://nocrisis.net) – at first as a free blog with WordPress.com, then later moved to an installtion that I controlled myself. In fact, the study required me to create one site but I became so fascinated by WordPress that I also made a new website for my company (The No Crisis company – closed now) and a third blog experimenting with short and simple news – for use in Facebook posts.
Since then I have made several new sites and enjoy using WordPress for this as it makes it possible to get going with something useful in a few minutes and then continue to expand and improve.
