I’ve started using WordPress for the first time in 2010 when I chose it as my new blog’s CMS (after leaving OverBlog). I learned to build a custom theme as my first step into the WordPress universe. I made of career out of this new knowledge and I’ve been professionally making themes and plugins for websites big and small for 10+ years.
