    Bio

    Hello there!

    I work at my own company “Sitefly” where I focus on WordPress development, maintenance, and optimization of existing WordPress websites. Aiming for speed, findability, and usability. Mainly for SMBs. I also deliver self-managed web hosting and WordPress audit & optimization services.

    I love working with – and contributing to WordPress! It’s an awesome open-source platform and it has a great community open to all.

    I’m active as a polyglot for the nl_BE team and nl_NL team, where I am one of the GTE’s. I’m also helping on the Dutch WordPress forums as a moderator.

    Founder and organizer of the WordPress Meetup in Kortrijk, Belgium. Attending/volunteering/organizing as many WordCamps/ WP Meetups as I can.

    WordPress Origin Story

    Back in the old days, somewhere in the nineties, I started building websites using frames and tables. I even remember using markup. They were the good days. After that period, I was looking into multiple CMS systems. The flexibility of WordPress was one of the key features I fell in love with.
