From Dreamweaver Drama to WordPress Wizard: My Journey

It all started in 2013, Arusha, Tanzania. Web development dreams danced in my head, and I snagged a project! Fired up with Adobe Dreamweaver, I dove into building the website. But then, disaster struck! My computer decided to take a permanent vacation, leaving my project stranded. Talk about a developer’s nightmare.

Fast forward to 2014, another project landed in my lap – a website for a Rwandan musician. Gearing up, the fear of a repeat “Dreamweaver disaster” loomed large. Just as I was about to resign myself to another technical meltdown, a friend swooped in with a lifesaver – WordPress. They promised it would make my life easier.

Intrigued, my mind raced. “A platform that could build websites faster than the traditional HTML, CSS, and JS slog?” I couldn’t resist. Tutorials became my new best friend, and while building the musician’s website, I dove headfirst into the world of WordPress. The result? A website delivered on time, and a happy client to boot!

But that wasn’t enough. This platform sparked a fire within me. I wanted to do more than just use WordPress to whip up websites – I wanted to contribute, to make it better, to show the world that beautiful websites were possible without getting bogged down in the technical nitty-gritty.
