    I am a WordPress theme developer from Texas, currently living in Maine.

    Interests

    Photography, drones, illustration, painting, drawing, running.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I started using WordPress back around 2012. While working part-time at a library I discovered a “WordPress for Dummies” book. I was interested in making portfolio and business websites, so I checked it out and read it and any other books I found related to web design and development. These included publications on HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. This research helped me start using WordPress to make my own websites with child themes. Then the theme development resources available at wordpress.org helped me create my first custom theme using underscores (_s). Since then I have become a volunteer on the support forums and Theme Review Team.
