Hi, I’m Jordan. I work on the WordPress platform and am proficient with the Genesis framework. I focus heavily on custom website design, custom Gravity Forms work and WooCommerce implementations.

WordPress Origin Story

It’s actually pretty funny how I got into WordPress, and web design & development in general really. I got out of the military and started going to college to be a P.E. teacher.

During that time, I tore my ACL in a sports related injury. To make money I was working in a warehouse over the weekend. With the ACL injury and surgery I could no longer work there so had to find some other, non-physical, means of providing for myself and my pregnant wife.

I turned to my brother who was already an establish WordPress developer and asked how long he thought it would take for me to get into it and he told me about a year if I pushed really hard. So that’s what I did. At first I didn’t really like it because I didn’t know anything and was trying to teach myself with financial pressure always looming in the background.

At one point, I almost quit completely and am so glad I didn’t. I not love WordPress and and so glad that I get to do this full time everyday now. Never would have thought I’d be doing this 5 years ago but here I am loving the WordPress. 🙂
