WordPress Origin Story

First time I heard about WordPress was with wordpress.com. Then someone told me: “You know there’s a self-hosting WordPress that let’s build your website with no limits, right?”
And I was like: “Whaaat”? So I went ahead and registered my first ever domain and got a hosting account and a WordPress version on wordpress.org and started fidgeting with WordPress. One screen on wp-admin and another on Google to learn how to do things and work with plugins and everything… All self-taught. 15 years and counting…
