Bio

I am the owner and CEO of Finessa Web Works. We offer a range of digital marketing services to help enhance your online business presence. We focus on handling tasks that will promote your products or services and keep you in the public eye. Start with a free evaluation of your current website, sometimes a redesign or a few changes can make a big difference.

We know that looking good it not enough. Not only are all the websites we develop or redesign responsive and easy to use on any mobile device, they also hold up to the standards required by Google to get the most out of search engines (what potential clients use to find you) and social media.

WordPress Origin Story

I was introduced to WordPress back in 2005. I wanted to start my own website design business so I took classes at a community college in Oregon. One program offered an introduction to social media. I had know idea what that was so I tried it out. The instructor had us create accounts with mySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, as well as create a podcast and start a blog.

I used the free version and wrote a few entries for the class. Later I decided to try using the blog more like a website…I think a lot of wannabe web designers were having the same idea. I was so happy when WP recognized this and created a better, more stable platform for creating both blogs and websites. I use the wordpress.com for nearly all my clients and am delighted that the owners/creators/developers continue to update and improve the performance.
