Bio

A leopard can carry twice its body weight into a tree. Now if you hate reading this, at least you can walk away knowing you’ve learned something.

Dustin has one goal, to crack that stubborn smile of yours.

He is a very active & spontaneous individual, and lives for the daily excitement thrown into his world. He has a passion for bikes… Motorcycles, cycling to work, etc. Dustin grew up riding BMX bikes. Yes he is that rider you saw upside down at the Minnesota State Fair, Chicago Dew Tour, etc.

The real world? You got it. 4 years at college, 5 years in IT at a high-performance distribution company, and now instructing at a local technical college. Dustin has also started a few businesses with a handful of partners to keep him entertained.

As of recently, Dustin has taken on a mission to help support Special Olympics athletes where him his friends take on the polar plunge as they mix their world of action sports with the bone-chilling winter event. Dustin began his first plunge alone by backflipping his fat bike into the ice cold water, and raised more than $10,000 for his first jump. 5 years and more than 100 team members later, their entire Ride Plunge Team has raised more than $40,000 by jumping bikes into the polar plunge since 2018. WordPress Origin Story

When it comes to the origin of my WordPress Story and development, I often like to share what my college professor wrote about my final exam in our PHP class at Hennepin Technical College in Spring of 2006:

Well, Dustin, you exceeded my wildest hopes with your final. You scored 279 points (out of 200), which I didn’t think was possible. With a performance like that, there was no way to escape getting an A in the class. In fact, when curving the final, I had to exempt your score from the calculations because it was skewing the numbers too far. At the rate you’re going, I expect you to surpass my own PHP knowledge in a few months (if you haven’t already done so). I appreciate your tolerance and patience with version 1.0 of the class, and really enjoyed having you as a student. I’d love to have you in one of my Linux classes down at EP. I think you’d like it a lot. If you ever need a professional or academic reference, I would be happy to fill that role. Have a great summer! -Jeremy

I started building WordPress websites for myself and my clients nearly 20 years ago as WordPress slowly continued to take over the internet. Since then, I have been developing small helpful plugins for our projects ever since, that have all led to one main home that I call WP Snippet World and would love for you to download:

Thank you for your interest and support, and please reach out if I can ever help you or your project.
