Bio

After attaining a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Conflict studies at Radboud University in Nijmegen, I worked at several different job including an e-learning company, as a case manager at the Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers and as a photographer.

Because I didn’t switch careers enough yet, I made the jump to become a developer at Yoast in 2018, after coding as a hobby for a while. This was a great jump and I find myself enjoying the creative aspects, the technical challenges and the fact that there is always something new to learn. It also introduced me to the world or WordPress, and since then I have been to several meetups, WordCamps, and many contributor days. I try to participate to WordPress mainly though contributor days which are a great way of contributing to a common cause together with a group of likeminded people.

When I’m not behind a computer screen, I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, photography, good conversations in pubs, board games, music, movies and occasionally reading.
