Bio

I’ve been the web admin for http://www.eas.org and http://www.stmattspringfield.org for over 10 years. Recently added springfielddems.org to my care.

Websites were originally FrontPage or Adobe sites that were migrated to WordPress once I learned how much better I could do inside of WordPress.

I’m a retired Chemical Engineer, located in Springfield PA

WordPress Origin Story

Eastern Analytical Symposium had been updating their design on about a 5 year cycle. In 2012 when it was time to do it again, I was aware of WordPress and believed I could save the organization a significant amount of money if we required our Graphic Design provider to use WordPress as the framework basis. With WordPress, volunteers and paid staff can make design and content changes to the site and limit the scope of our Graphic Design contract to the creation of Graphics for each Symposium year.
