Internet tinkerer and programmer since the first pre-webpage days of Bulletin Board.

WordPress Origin Story

I’ve been programming websites since the mid-1990s, since a time when there was no choice but hard-code. I forget exactly when I first came to WordPress, but it was relatively early on, such that I remember a blog article by Matt Mullenweg entitled Pearls Before Breakfast, a blog discussion of the Joshua Bell’s Washington Post article of 2007. Beyond enjoying that immensely at the time, it’s stuck with me through all the years since — and I’ve become a fan of Joshua Bell ever since. Thanks for both of these things, WordPress: this blog, and the software that contains all of this for all of us.

I'm only now digging into this MU. Where does one find the native domain mapping?…
