I learned programming at CWI starting with HTML and moving to CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. As a side project, myself and another student learned how to setup a LAMP server on an old desktop or laptop. I then learned about WordPress and was frustrated that I spent all that time learning to code if people can just use this amazing tool to make websites. But then as a professional WordPress developer, I started to modify WordPress itself and I saw why I had spent time learning the basics. At BSU I’ve learned about C, Java, object oriented design and fundamental CS skills through Discrete Math.
