WordPress Origin Story

I have been developing websites based on PHP and MySQL for many years. After I first came across WordPress around 12 years ago, I dealt in detail with the possibilities and basics of this system, which was still quite new at the time. Since version 2.8 of mid-2009, I have only been using WordPress.
