Bio

If your organization needs a proven communicator, with a passion for technology and programming, please read on. Java, HTML, CSS, and PHP are what I do. I love the coding challenge of problem solving. When I’m not coding or writing blog posts, I’m being a Dad to my two awesome kids.

I also frequently give back to the industry through volunteering here and in the http://coderanch.com forums

WordPress Origin Story

In 2012, my wife needed a website for her growing business. The last site I had built was in 2004 using Dreamweaver. Three months of hard work later, she had a great multi-language WordPress site that was featured on http://wpml.org.

During the process of learning WordPress, HTML and CSS, I connected with one of the largest theme developers on ThemeForest. He offered me a job providing support to his 37,000+ clients. That experience changed my life. Two years later, I left a very successful 15 year career in finance to return to school and become a ‘coder’.

For giving me a new focus in life, I try to pay back WordPress as much as I can through volunteering here, at https://wordpress.org
