I’ve been working with WordPress since 2010. I was a young developer looking to get my feet wet with a server side language and when I came across PHP. From there I was looking for ways to improve my development process and that’s when I found Joomla. I tried Joomla for a bit, but I didn’t really seem to get into it mainly because the docs weren’t that great. In fact I only ever launched one site in Joomla, and after that I began searching around for the most popular CMS’ built in PHP and that’s when I came across WordPress. I immediately fell in love with it because doing basic things like creating posts, categories, and tags were already built in and required no SQL or database work. From then on I’ve considered myself a WordPress developer.
